We are in a place
Where our enemy has no race
Where we can only stand-by
as our loved-ones fade
Some of us hold on to faith
For our world to quickly regulate
back to a place
Where touch and gatherings permeate
To those who choose to
Dominate our space with hate
To segregate and blame the Asian race
as the cause of
the Coronavirus that has taken its place
where many suffocate
and lives terminate
No matter your faith
No matter the color of your skin
No matter the place you were born
No matter the language you articulate
We all share the same
pain and suffering that
COVID-19 illuminate
We need you to be kind
We need you to replace the hate
in your heart with love
Divided at this stage
where hate will transform more hate
where love must find its place
to replace all that hate had formulate
Please take your place in our
world and space
Fill your hearts with love and
help all people carry on with
hope and strength
that soon we will eradicate
the virus and the hate
with love and unity
to create a world where all people can once again congregate
