The sold-out event is focused on the community and celebrates 50 years of Hmong legacy in Minnesota.
The Minnesota Hmong Chamber of Commerce (MHCC) hosts its second annual gala on January 31st, 2025, in St Paul, MN. This year’s gala is fittingly titled “Our Journey & Legacy: Celebrating 50 Years of MN Hmong Impact” and honors the rich history of the Hmong community in Minnesota.
“Our gala promises to be a memorable affair, bringing together members of our community, local businesses, and supporters of MHCC,” said Yao Yaj, Executive Director of the MHCC. “The gala will be a grand event for our community as we celebrate the 50th anniversary of Hmong people immigrating to the United States.”
Attendees of the gala will have the opportunity to mingle with like-minded individuals, share inspiring stories, and make valuable connections, all while immersed in Hmong history through legacy and impact storyboards. The event also includes a plated dinner, raffles, and entertainment.
“The gala presents an opportunity for people to come together, and serves as a beacon of cultural pride and solidarity,” said Poh Lin Khoo, CEO of Khoo Consulting, and a volunteer and local business owner.
Proceeds from the gala will directly support the MHCC in continuing to serve the business community. The MHCC currently has 380 members, ranging from small businesses to corporations.
“MHCC has been a tremendous community partner in supporting small business owners,” said Brian McDonald, U.S. Small Business Association (SBA) District Director. “The Hmong community is resilient, and we celebrate their cultural and economic contributions to the United States.”
